Efficient smoke extraction and very good sound insulation
Efficient smoke extraction without light transmission, and with high sound protection: it is for these requirements that we have developed the aluminium darkening flap WD-80-S. It is certified for use as SHEV and its design makes it completely opaque and particularly well sound insulated.
The sandwich-construction flaps are made of aluminium, although the surface can also be coated in RAL colours. Thermal separation is implemented via the sturdy fan framework made of rigid PVC. In addition, the darkening flaps are insulated with 80mm mineral wool, which results in excellent values in terms of airborne sound insulation and energy efficiency.
These darkening flaps can be used not only as SHEV systems, but also as ventilation devices – both in new buildings and in refurbishment projects.
